Yup, that link worked. Remember it now. Your welder did an awesome job, that whole bike looks sweet. Not sure what to tell you on a spring choice, the 125 obviously would be lighter than the 500 motor, so whatever spring is recommended for your weight on that bike might be a tick off. Maybe by .1 or...

From all my sand experience, and thats a LOT, almost exclusively what I ride, you should consider valving for your weight. Now I'm speaking from moto perspective, but sand is a pain if the suspension isn't set uo for you. Especially on the rear. Shock plows through the travel fast, even with the pro...

From what I read on NGKs website the plug and cap are specific to each other. No interchangeability to any series plus other than that line. I've been through this. Trust me. Lol.. Binks, I've got family up in Blackpool, you anywhere near there?

I put my complete 93 sub-frame on my 99 500. Cut off and rewelded the top mount on top of the old one. Right one is the same, cut off the lower left and weld in place after you attach air-boot to carb. 500 boot fits right into 250 box. You will need to re-position the inlet on the silencer. I made u...

Perhaps greater minds than mine have the answer (Roosty?) but would not the smaller carb mean a higher air velocity due to the smaller bore, thus creating the lean condition? I could be totally my wrong. Something my ex reminded me off constantly.

I'll hazard a guess. I've trucked 30 years and say it has no motor, because if you are chaining to the crankshaft, even for stabilization, you are looking for trouble. Because that IS the crank sticking out front that the prop fits on, correct? Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't do it that way.

Sometimes it seems like the camera can be a little deceptive in that (to me) it doesn't show the speed of the rider. Not in this case. That guy's fuckin' HAULIN! On an outdated piece of machiney incapable of keeping up to a 4-stroke. Or some would have you believe. Is that the track in Texas where t...

Maybe you aren't getting full travel on your forks. Front too stiff, throws the chassis out of balance. Loads the back end and mabe your rebound is too loose. Compression too soft, back end collapses and then WHAMMO! Full on " How many tickets for THIS Fair Ride"! Make the Tilt- A-Whirl se...

Don't discount the fact that there may be something wrong with the suspension. How old is the oil? If the fork oil is trashed, it will let the forks collapse and after a second whoop like you are describing, the front end is done and the rear end completely unloads, doing exactly what you experience...

Owned one back in the day. As I recall, the quote from then was, "If it ain't pingin', it aint RUNNIN!" They were a nasty machine to jet and I seem to remember, if you could get rid of the pinging, then it was too lean.

How heavy are you, and is the bike valved for your weight? Are you sure you have the right springs, and as mentioned, is the sag right? Those two questions are the ones you really need answers to. What year CRF is it? The 09s and up have inherent issues to begin with that need to be addressed in the...

An educated guess would be the center gasket. I think if the trans seal is leaking you most likely get trans oil into the combustion chamber. If it doesn't use trans oil, you are probably good. Try pulling off the trans filler cap and see if you build ANY pressure at all or still leaks out the vent ...

Thanks Mik, I've seen reviews on some of his stuff. Drooled on a big bore from Eddie Sanders Racing for a long time too. They sell all that stuff. I weigh 250 lbs plus gear so I'm really looking for something a little bigger, just in case a 300 isn't enough. A bigger motor in that 93 would be fun. N...

Any chance you have a complete 01 250 motor or the parts to make most of one? Want one to put in my 93 frame. I'm told an 02 and later trans swaps right into the 01 cases. Was actually wanting to do a big-bore motor, something with a little longer stroke to complement the larger bore. Is that someth...

My $.02 worth. That'll be about ALL it's worth. Rode my 450 in the woods and it was obvious that a Rekluse was in order. So budget for that. Flat out, the 4-stroke is no where near as much fun in those circumstances. I've ridden my 500 and 250 on the same trails, so I had something to compare to. Yo...
