hey chief great idea my workshop has orders for 3 afs and im interested in doing more if the demand comes my way also doing custom graphics on my machines as well we have a pretty well equiped fab shop

this is the delema 6000 sieries chemical comp is magnesium and silicon
7000 sieries is mainly zinc and the t6 part is the temper

i aproached a supplier for more 6061 and their answer was its not a stock item anywhere and if we wanted it i would have to order 500kg of it thats a lot of conversions

As far as I know its the 6061 T6,same as what everyone makes the new frame rails from.Didnt you mention Atlas metals has that stuff in Kal ? can anyone tell me what grade of aluminium the standard cr crf frames are made of or where to start lookingfor the relevent info?

there's no reason to weld the inside the standard y piece is only welded around the rhs and down tube

has anybody bothered to add up how many hours thier conversion took and worked out the cost to convert thier frames just curious

not sure whos this is but its a fairly new bike. something funky is going on down by the footpeg :shock: :lol: . the weld by the motor mount looks good from what i can see. its impossible to make a conclusion on all the other welds because they arent visible. http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h318/...

after a week of work 99% finished just need to get some new plastics and some bling bits and its done
ive ridden it today and no vibrations its absolutely awsome have a shake down tomorrow around a three hour enduro track and it sould be ready for some motorcross
