Sounds like the one I made an offer for $300 on. Guess he didn't like it since he took the make offer option down.

Surfacing

I went old school the other day to fix some lousy machining on a CRF50 big bore jug. Dragged out the iron lapping plate and went to town on it. I actually had to cut it down a fair bit and it worked sweet. I showed roostius the pictures of it haha. I only did it because it took me less time to lap i...

Stupid amount of parts to blow out. More stuff added again

I have all sorts of frame, suspension parts, new and used for any CR500's from 89-01. Any chassis stuff going cheap. Engine stuff, not so cheap, but no junk and lots is ready to go. Good rads, pedals, swingarms bla bla Decent plastics for every end. All steely-some 89-90, mostly newer Engine parts-n...

Thanks guys. Going to the dunes is something we talk about all year until the next time we get to go. Sadly, that's the last time that bike has been used.

85 cr500 bottom end

Bottom end is complete and still assembled. I rescued it from a quad. I would say it needs to be gone through like any used engine. It has no damage from engine failures, but there is a part of the bolt boss for the case saver that got tagged by a chain, one of the bottom mount bosses needs to be sp...

I've heard the inserts are useless, but I have a set of the bars. I think they work well and the ones I bought had a good amount of rise for me as well as being able to keep my gpr steering stab. They do feel strange at first, especially when you're just sitting on the bike because they flex around ...

Fastest build yet-90 cr500

So as usual I waited too long to build my bike for the trip to the dunes. I had the bare frame painted, and in 4 long nights, assembled the engine with a new crank and top end, stainless hardware kit-thanks to Roosty (who I still owe for that and the trans bearings) Rebuilt the 01 forks and rear sus...

Oregon dunes 2010

We had a killer ride again and made it a rule everyone wear suits once the whole group arrived. Nine dirtbikes is something you don't see there often when the whole place is usually swarming with quads. https://bannedcr500riders.com/images/auto/a99116f9ef21f905512fb5a08c104ff3.jpg http://www.youtube...

Keihin all the way. It's still the cheapest part in your whole engine, so why skimp? Save a few bucks=a cooked engine.
