African Twin anyone?
Not a lot of chatter in here. Whats everyone think of the new African Twin? I'm kinda of excited but also disappointed. I have a short inseam so it's really tough for me to street tall bikes, not much easier in the dirt but I manage.
Also kinda sad it's a 500lb machine.

FS: 2005 Honda CRF450R frame, swing arm, rims, shock + misc
Hey guys I just updated my for sale thread. If it's not in the test list it's gone. I don't have any paperwork for the frame and it has the typical cable rub that's worn away the center digits on the vin so I think getting paperwork for it would be tough. Everything is located in 21048 and I'm willi...

You'd be surprised. Programmed correctly I can't imagine that cover taking much more than an hour to cut out. The triple trees I posted above, take 12 minutes for the top to be cut out and 15 for the bottom. Obviously the cover is a little more intricate but I can't imagine much more than and hour a...

tvalliere27, I sent you a pm. I was hoping to get your files. I have a friend that makes triple trees for me and I'm certain he could make these parts. Check your pm's and we can chit chat. I'm sure we can work something out. https://bannedcr500riders.com/images/auto/c7b9ff4bd968e0b1a37b393d840b55ab...

Here's the part number and price for just the right cover. You can buy a early 90's CR250r quick change cover for about $25 on ebay and save a few dollars. after that your just need your water pump parts, hopefully your impeller is still good. Also order new seals, and the needed gaskets. SHould cos...

All years clutch cover will physically bolt up. Most of us buy a 2001 right hand case and the quick change cover. The clutch cavity with the quick change cover is a little deeper so you may need to space your brake pedal over with a shim/spacer. The only other issue you run into is the newer covers ...

Wanted: Trashed 90-01 CR500 frames.
Wanted: Trashed 90-01 CR500 frames. I really like the head tubes from these bikes to build trike frames from. I'm not interested in the vins, I weld right through them, it's just cheaper to buy dead frames and cut the head tube off then having head tubes machined from raw material. Anyone sitting on...

crf450 fuel tanks: FI vs non FI
Can anyone do me a huge favor and snap a few pics of a non-FI tank next to a FI tank, focusing on the the differences in the bottoms I'm working on another project and I really could use a little more clearance and the hump in this 04-05 crf450 tank is a real hangup. I'm hoping a FI tank will give m...

forgive me as I don't mean this as heckling like I'm sure it reads. I think the point is until there's something physical to see, your thread is nothing but words that mean little to anyone here. I mean honestly anyone of us can sketch up a theoretical e-start setup for these engines but its nothing...

proof of concept is really a necessity with this. You'll get plenty of hecklers sayings who needs it, but for every heckler there's probably 3-4 people who would buy it if it was reasonable. Unfortunately talk of doing it isn't enough, drawings and pictures of something real will be required to get ...

I love rekluse clutches but yeah, at 525$ shipped I'm not really scrambling for it. It may be new, but I'd rather buy one used at around $300 with little to no wear. Its really easy to find people who 'tried' them and didn't like them and sell them cheap. I also would not be surprised if you could c...
