UKAF , have u contact details for a distributor for DEP in the UK or did u go direct to them ? CI Sport are the UK distributor - I'm pretty sure they only sell to the trade though. If I wanted 10 pipes for a project I'd go direct to DEP but for one off purchases I use CI Sport. I'm not sure where i...

thanks guys , the vapour is the only one i,ve seen for sale over here good to know you guys rate them thanks :D I sell Vapor and Vector - to be honest unless you really want RPM I'd go with the Vector - it's £22 cheaper but otherwise very similar. Search ebay for trail tech vector and you'll find m...

we could do that forsure. The pipe marks arent machine marks or anything, its dropped dinted and gouged on the outer radius on the rh side. the pieces of metal moved in the gouging have the nikkel plate so it was done before it. I've had probably 70 DEP front pipes in the last 3 years and to...

Re: dep pipes

That pipe looks allot like a stocker.... X2 Honda knows WTF their doing........ A guy over here (UK) has Thorpe's '89 HRC bike and it's like you say, the stock pipe isn't far different from the HRC one. He had a batch of 10 copy pipes made (@ £300 each) and was devastated when he saw the DEP was mo...

Re: DEP pipes

I have my crf250 frame at the welder getting new lower rails welded in and will soon be mocking up engine placement. I was thinking of using a pipe and silencer from DEP. Has anyone tried one for their conversion? They list a pipe and and silencer for CR500AF. I called and talked to Tom and he told...

Try a KTM dealer for the plug, One of their bikes uses the short plug so they generally have them in stock.

asteriod500, If you are referring to this bash plate in the picture link below, I think it would be a mistake to weld in a plate like this directly across the front engine bolt mounts. The frame needs to pull in a bit when you torque up this bolt and the bash plate will stress the frame and maybe s...

A 900' jump with a good landing puts far less strain on the bike than a 40' that you case hard. Obviously. As a rule a pro rider will give a bike an easier time landing jumps because it'll be accurate. Kind of at odds with a lot of people's idea of "I'm just a play rider, I'll be fine even if ...

were all the bikes crf250 ? 3 were for sure, the fourth might have been a CRF450. Lots of people have used the CRF250 without any problems so I'd think that being the cause of the failures is unlikely. Maddison's SH bike is CRF250 based and it survives all he throws at it. Did you folks see ...

Wasn't the broken frame we saw recently in the UK also? I would like to know if they came from the same shop? I know of four frames (in the UK) that've broken. Two of them broke on the Y piece welds and it was found before the bikes came apart - they vibrate really bad when it happens. Bear in mind...

Re: hmm

funny, they crack somewhere before they just bust in half, i wonder if that cat ever inspected that chassis between motos or if he just rode the hell out of it cracked until it finally went boom....heaven forbid a guy actually inspects the weld seams from time to time...... i blame the rider or mec...

Re: Pipe and Muffler of choice??

I was leaning towards an FMF 'Q' series muffler with a gnarly pipe. The "Q" sucks ass...... Anybody building therie own bike should use an OEM stylr pipe... period. Your making the bike, so make your own pipe mounts too. S/H could easily use a OEM style pipe, but make their own, so you ar...

Re: Pipe and Muffler of choice??

Just wondering if there is a pipe and muffler combo of choice for a CR250 gen 3 conversion or if they are much the same as each other in regards to fit. I was just thinking if some mufflers fit better than others. I want to keep noise down as much as possible so I was leaning towards an FMF 'Q' ser...
