Rear wheel swap from steely to gen 2,3,4
I want to swap a rear wheel from a steely to an AF. I've heard that it's a simple as a bearing swap. Does anyone know how to get the collar that goes in between the bearings. I guess should look it up and see if it's a honda part.
Any tips on the ordeal?

Ahh crap. I just did the same thing as you maddog. About 4.5 fully bottomed. I just read the manual it says flush. Maybe I need to learn to read my manual in future. Heres hoping all will be ok. Mines a new crank so surface will be fine, just a tad worried now. I watch this thread with interest and...

My experience is MX based only thus far. Having perfectly smooth and progressive engagement in MX is like a dream come true. I would think set up for nasty off road riding would be even more critical due to the low rpm riding. I really like being able to bomb into corners waaaay to fast and not have...

problem is outfitting a fleet of bikes with auto clutches is expensive. You can swap back and forth. You can still clutch the pro like a regular clutch, Bump starting and the bike wanting to roll when the motor is off are the main bitches folks have. Both of witch are generally created by rider erro...

window in the intake side of piston on Vertex?
Forgive me if this has been covered but I have not seen it. I've seen homemade windows cut into the intake side of the piston on forged pistons, mostly wisecos. I'm running a vertex and want to do this as well. Is the cast piston strong enough? Will it crack prematurely? Any tips on doing it? Dimens...

When you get one get some extra TC balls, they are the heavy ones. I hated mine until I went up to 12. The snow bike will run even more, 15 or 18. Now I won't ride a CR5 without it, unless I want to work harder, go slower and have less fun  I have an extra pro with almost no time on it that I'...

Am I the only one that doesn't use any sealant? I have never had a problem yet, the pipe is enough of a bitch to get off now, with sealant seams like it would be nearly impossible without taking off the stub. They come off fine with RTV on there. Running a sealant cuts down on vibes and free power ...

For the rekluse pro they come with their own special steel drive plates that fit their special inner hub design. They also sell a thicker drive plate to deal with adjusting the plate stack thickness. I'm running 2 thick plates to get the .050 freeplay with all new parts. I've never seen a exp core, ...
