50mm Showa Conventionals whole front end setup
I've got a complete front end from a 96 rm125. Forks, brake, wheel (with tire, rim and brake disc), triple tree (aftermarket upper and lower with nuts and steering stem). I got it a while back, but have since lost motivation to get it put on my '87. Everything appears to be in good condition. Willin...

Riding in Moab
I don't know where to put this, so here goes. Some friends and I are planning a ride in Moab in October. We'll be there for the weekend (Thursday to Sunday). I'm looking for resources on places to ride there. There will be a few bikes and a utility quad going, skill ranging from newish riders to fai...

Best way to enlarge swingarm bolt bushings
What's the best way to enlarge the swingarm bolt bushings if you don't have a mill? It would be for an '87.

So today I finally got around to stripping the cylinder. Got the classic stop sign going on. http://web.umr.edu/~rah9tb/stopsign1.jpg http://web.umr.edu/~rah9tb/stopsign2.jpg Piston comparison, old 89.5mm Vertex with new 90mm Vertex. Shows the smoothing work that I did with the casting flaws on the ...

So long old friend...
I was prepping my bike to go riding tomorrow and I had to change my jets from coming back from the summer at high elevation. So I also decided to take a look at the reeds and the piston to see how things were going. Here's what I found: http://web.umr.edu/~rah9tb/crackedpiston.jpg It was a Vertex. I...

Hello from MO
Hello,
My name is Alex Hofstetter and I have an '87 in Rolla, MO. I recently found out that my piston has a crack in it and will be posting pics of it shortly.
