The exact same scenario is played out in the MX mags when they test AJ's bikes. Most are slower on it, when compared to a thumper, the fast guys are faster on the 500AF. From a test on the 500 LE https://bannedcr500riders.com/images/auto/03ca750e570d3429e6ae9f2edc7a7da9.jpg The only reason 4-stroke...

  I'm pretty sure that engine was from the guy on the other board who had it in the street bike frame user name "lt1bird". I think that was his ebay name too. He never could get it to run right and wouldn't listen to people's advice and then I think he ended up drilling a hole th...

So I just ordered from them $114 and no discount. I was logged in when I made the order (I double checked) and it made no difference. Total of parts and shipping was the same either way, I just added it all up after logging out. I made the order anyways, but I was curious what happened. Can you shed...

Just pulled the plug, very wet! Used the hand and kicked it over a few times to empty out the cylinder of any gas. Stuck in the used plug from yesterday and wham, fired up first try after maybe 4 inches of soft downward movement on the kicker. Spun it down the block and back, turned it off and back...

I think he was saying someone should buy that engine and do an conversion with it. I don't know why you would go to the trouble to do a conversion with a motor thats unreliable in stock form. A cr500 is bulletproof when properly maintained and requires no mods or additional money to make it that way...

Wiggle the wheels, swing-arm, steering stem and any other bearing mounted parts to check for play. If they will let you pull the pipe take a look in the exhaust-port. Even better look in the intake side and check for cracks on the piston skirt. Other than that just basic stuff listen to it run ride ...
