CRF450R clutch swap, please advise

Guys,

I keep seeing references to using a 450R clutch setup in the 500 but nothing defenative. Can you help point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Wile C.

Actually, I think the 05-07 CRF450R is one of the easiest and results in the best balanced bike. I didn't even have to mod the underside of the gas tank for the spark plug and can change the spark plug without pulling the gas tank. Also, the bike is slightly larger and results in a more comfortable...

A bit pricey for my taste. Need to offer up billet L&R cases for the 89-01 bikes.

I would go with a Wiseco or Vertex piston personally. As for crank, it's hard to beat the quality of an OEM Crank. Have it sent off to crankworks for a rebuild, balance, and true. Make sure to include your piston so they can balance to it's weight. That work alone will have the motor running as smoo...

Easiest is the CR250. I enjoy that one and the CRF250 equally. CRF250 is a good bike too and a little more work. I have not done a 450 so I have no input to share. Good Luck I have people interested in the CR250 as well as the CRF450R so it's a toss up honestly..... I think I'd rather use the 450 c...

Which Chassis.... 2007 CRF450R, 2006 CRF250R, or 2003 CR250R

I have three choices of chassis for my AF build.... I'm on the fence about which to use. Suggestions and objective criticism?

Hey guys!! First of all I'm glad I found what may be the best collection on the internet of CR500 knowledge. Awesome. So I've always wanted a CR500 and was in the process of selling off a CRF450R to fund a CR500 purchase. A guy traded me a 2003 CR250R and a 91 CR500 for my 07 CRF450R. I thought I ma...
