Hey 2stoke, could you post a pic of this?
I think i get what you are saying but would like to see it before i start drilling. thank you also been doin this for a while and forgot to mention it, JB weld a carb vent tube to the gold cap and route it up over the headstay andd back down, keeps dirt out and theres no air trapped above the piston...

Hoof, shoot this guys animal they are very helpful. The beauty of the Gatos mount is that it IS NOT bike specific. where the mount accepts the bar mounts it has 4 cams. the cams rotate so they adjust to fit ANY BIKE. these guys are good.its a little pricey but worth it. I also bought their bar ends....

If any of you are looking for some very nicely made stabilizer mounts, check out Gatos Bros. i looked for a month until i finally found something better than the big clunky mounts from scotts and everyone else.

leak fix in slave
you get this leak when the seal is disturbed due to being pulled too far out or pushed too far in. you have to remove the cap and push the actuator in and pull it out a few times to reset the seal, this worked for mine.

good starter for tuning your suspension
take a look at this link i included below. the most sensible way i have seen it explained is called, staging, i believe. It really helped with one bike i just couldn't get right. they recommend going full soft on both ends so you know exactly what that feels like, then working your way to to stiffer...
