AJ, I really enjoyed your history of the AF thread. I understand that you probably cannot post for public consumption the bad points of all the generations, so to not devalue the SH bikes that are in the consumers hands, but could you give a synopsis of the good points of each generation and maybe ...

AJ thanks for keeping the 500 alive and getting it the exposure worldwide we need so maybe somebody will build one one day with a modern 500 2 smoke engine so we can see a truly great open bike. The 500 power plant is dated, I remember 20 years ago how the 250's were and how much smoother the newer ...

That is definetly one problem area of a 450 but the method I did my 2 by works fine but if you can adapt a new boot of some type that fits perfrectly would be better but I could not find one. One guy I built a 450 for told me he used a heat gun and stretched the boot to work correctly but my attemp...

I just bought 2 plasmas and this one LCD, the plasma boy's are worried. This LCD rivals the pioneer elites in color. You are right they do have problems with motion but this one is closing the gap. LCD flat panel are only a few years old and plasmas are older and further along in development. Pionee...

Have any of you all seen the new Samsung 650 LCD ?
I went shopping for 2 new TV's for my parents house the other day. I do not even watch TV but maybe an hour or less a week. They wanted to get set up for the upcoming HD switch coming up in 2009. I was not even looking for a TV for myself when I ran into a movie playing on the new 650 and I just cou...

Re: Resale Value CR250/125 Engines
Just curious of how much you get back from selling the engine from the rollers you use (particularly A GEN 1),assuming the engine is running fine with no problems,I'm not looking for exact #'s just a ballpark figure,Man I REEEEEEEEEEEALLY want a A/F 500.Thanks The best thing about a Gen1 is the mot...

^^^ i agree the gen 3 crf frame is the shit for road riding...i wanted to make my build into a street legal bike, but i'm skeptical about the frame being stolen...and eventually came to my senses that a road legal cr 500 is a retarded idea...but i checked with my public insurance and they said they...

The best cylinders I have ridden are ones that are only slightly ported by someone who knows what they are doing. Somebody who knows how to slightky adjust the air flow scavaging to where the fuel loop is more efficient with out changing the port timing hardly at all will make the bike easier to rid...

While I think a KTM 550 motor would be really cool, I've already got my CR500 (almost) ready to rock. I see crf 450 that have titles all the time and I have one , I can tell you for road riding a gen3 CRf 450 chasses is real roomy and comfy. Much more so than the Cr 250 or gen 4 CRF. I do not know ...

If calvin would finish the saber it is a better value than that. The 560 kit should produce a good bit more torque but HP Is ?able. When you go bigger they do not like to turn as many R's so there goes your HP #s. hogwash! calvins stuff would stomp that 560 in the ground. and the saber is proven it...

If you are 6'4 for you it is the best bike and a 500 works best in open blasting riding and the CRF 450 gen 3 is superior to a CR 250 gen 3 in high speed blasting. I actually think it is the best one if you use the 500 CR motor where ir kills the competition in high speed stuff. On a High speed outd...
