Mine is an 08 X model, and I'm using the CRF filter no problem. Dump the backfire screen (reed valve on a 2T prevents any possibility of igniting the filter), and most importantly, remove the snorkel off the top of the airbox, and cut the whole top of the box out. Because I retained my battery, I c...

Roosty is right, i could only push start my bike for the first couple of days when i put the SH ignition on, have to kick it crazy hard to start it, not just a normal 500 hard kick, crazy hard. Rabbit kick does not work for me. Its not too bad now i that i know what it needs to start.

Wish i would have known that before i bought the service honda setup, stupid rabbit kick does not work for me, only a rediculously hard kick can get it running. I haven't tested the lighting output but i am not real impressed with it, still need to use a battery charger inbetween rides.

Headstay was from conversionparts500.com to suit crf250x conversion, little short but just had to make aluminum block to suit. I tried to buy my rails and mounts off pstoffer first, he said because someone stole his design and was making them cheaper, he wasn't doing them anymore. So i'd hate to say...

From what i've read on here sounds like .004" is what everyone else runs with wiseco's. Printed on the box the piston comes in has a clearance distance stated what wiseco recommend. The ring end gap is .004"per inch piston diameter = .014 for a 3.5" piston.

Gregrobo, Not sure how it is in other states, but Queensland was pretty easy. First i applied to queensland transport for proposed mods(just filling a form out), they got back to me saying i needed to get an engineer to say the proposed changes were going to be up to standards. So i borrowed some bu...

Pulled the cylinder and measured up, 89.13mm spec is 89.07 max, out of round by .14mm spec is .05mm. Big end side clearence all good at .75mm.
Going to see if anyone local has the gear to bored it when my piston turns up.

Not a bad idea Bob, if i do that all i need to do is find a way of building up to the bore to bring it back up to spec, have seen some photo's of people using metal putty like this, seems like i good idea.
