For the decomp actuator I used a thumb actuated hotstar lever for a CRF that bolts to the brake master. On the valve I made a mount that clamps around the mount for the valve and welded the adjuster part of a clutch perch to the top of the mount I made, Im using a clutch cable without the adjuster p...

I havent goten any cracks in the frame and the engine runs strong and reliable thanks to roostys work. I ended up running a 38 airsriker carb from my 2000 cr250. I also installe...

I experienced the same....... had a 95 250 (my favorite bike I had) then got a 2001 and loved it just as much, it was easier to ride due to more useable power the 95 was more like a light switch ON or OFF. I then had a 2004 and absolutely hated it compared to both the 95 and 2001, sold the 04 and fo...

Damm you guys are hilarious!! I could see if we were talking about a 45-90 degree difference than maybe you could feel a difference but with the slight amount that were talking about I would think Bob is correct that you would feel more of a difference with a full tank of gas compared to a almost em...

Thanks, I am aware of the parts interchangability. Having owned various years of CR250's I can definately say that the 07CRF250 feels much lighter, skinnier, and smother feeling than my 06 CR250 that I had, but maybe thats just personal preference. I got the 07crf250 basicaly for free after selling ...

Not looking to gain anything noticeablly more than a gen3 frame. But I do like the idea that the 07 crf250 frame is skinnier and lighter feeling while riding. I couldn't find a gen 3 250 for a reasonable price. Then I came across the 07 crf250 for $1300. With nothing majorly wrong with the bike. I'm...

07 crf250 with 01 cr250 motor
Does anyone have any info in this type of conversion? I have the frame from both bikes and was thinking of moving the Y up on the CRF then replacing the lower frame rails with the 2001 Cr250 frame rails. Would this work or are the frame bends way to different? Any input from someone who has tried th...

Shit! I know in my mind the right thing to do is find new cases but, I don't have all the money in the world to spend on this build and its quickly becoming expensive. From what I see the worst senario is the crack can spread, and the best senario would be that the shifter seal may not last as long....

MY FIRST 500 REBUILD AND OFF TO BAD START
I purchased a totaly thrashed 500 and took the engine out to use for an A/F conversion. Now that the frame work is done I can start on the engine rebuild. Durring teardown the first thing I noticed was I could grab the clutch basket and shake the whole thing up and down. Also could do the same to th...

Can anyone identify this carb? It came with the engine I am going to use. Is it crap or worth using? I noticed the choke is on the opposite side. https://bannedcr500riders.com/images/auto/f35c7a855e70d3c4e62fc81ac13157c0.jpg https://bannedcr500riders.com/images/auto/e2b3e130d25ea9279ca3a4c2acac6b14....
