Thats him. I'm not sure if he's actually reworked any GSS stuff, but he definately knows what he's doing inside a motor.

Roosty will likely be getting on of my GSS worked cylinders for a makeover this spring, as well as a set of crankcases for the porting he does there.

Yeah, they're smaller, I run 26-29. They're also made of 'flavor of the day' aluminum, some if it's junk, some of it's decent. I've pulled them off immediately off the track and had to wear a glove to handle them and the chain has been good.

I agree though, weird.

I run aluminum sprokets on the kart, which I know is different, but still the same. I've never had a chain go tight, except when I get a bend in the axle which causes only a tight spot. I would also think any expansion would have to be measured in the thousandths of an inch. Hard to believe a sprock...

Yep, 82. When I saw him in April he was in a wheel chair for a broken hip, someone told me it was his 2nd time with one. He's getting old and frail for sure, but he's getting around about as well as can be expected.

That museum is top notch. Anybody that's in the Lincoln area needs to stop for a visit. I've been there once, but it was only a whirlwind tour. May have to make a trip back there soon... Speedy Bill & his wife Joyce have always told me to call ahead of coming and they'd give me the tour themselv...

It works the same way as your good old fashioned 10-speed bike. Bigger on the front or smaller on the rear = less acceleration, but more top end... keeps the motor from winding out quite as fast Smaller on the front or bigger on the rear = more acceleration, but less top end... motor winds out faste...

I don't see why 18:1 isn't reasonable, as long as you use an iKat and Coolhead.

GoPro says there is a charging system that's optional, but I don't find it listed on their site for purchase. Personally, I think buying a spare battery is easier & cheaper especially when you factor your time as well than rigging more bs onto the bike. Battery life is listed at 2hrs, 15 min. Un...

The battery life should be stated in the instructions... I think 2-3 hours if I remember right from my GoPro HD. Rigging a charging system would be a waste of time. The camera won't charge and film at the same time. If you really feel like you need the extra battery life, buy a 2nd battery. http://w...
