He ended up drilling it to 15/16....... im not doing a gen3 build as planned and needed to make more room for bushing thickness cause it will have a thicker sw...

So i bought a chassis and stripped it down yesterday. whats the best way to bore my cases with the motor in 1 piece?

If it helps,i just bought the nicest craftsman digital drill press from sears but need ideas on how to set up the motor in a jig.

yea, it shouldnt be too hard for the head stay. For the head stay i was just going to make a cardboard template and transfer it. Im more focused on getting the rear bushings squared away. Any luck on finding a set?

i plan on buying a 2 piece head stay made out of atleast 1/4 inch aluminum if you happen to have any of those lying around but thats easier for me to find than the case bushings.

im about to start an AF conversion using a gen 3 cr250 and my 1985 motor and although i see a few places selling the motor mounts and frame rails i havent seen anyone advertise a price on the rear case bushings. i know i can get the swingarm bushings oem from a gen3 cr125 but need the case collars. ...

it may be for a cr250 but i think it takes the cake for dollar to quality (or lack of) ratio

The 05+ Cr250 year range you should be looking for. 02-04 have many subtle differences that make the 05+ better... Not sure where you are located, but I do actually have an 05 CR250 for sale, but I'm in Ontario Canada. i had a 2002 cr250 and liked the chassis but would love to trade for a 2005+ ......

not trying to steer you away, but those cr 250s are a bitch to jet and seem to always have the honda bog..... a 05+ yz 250 is better than the cr in EVERY way (except looks) from power to suspension, to radiators that dont get squashed first time it gets layed over you crack me up. i just bought a 0...
