I sent you a PM.

The right case is sold. Some quick online figuring looks like it would cost about $50 to ship the other case to you.

They finally let him take it home. I guess he peeled the model tag off his friends 05 and got a letter from a Honda dealer stating it was for off road use only and they let it slide. Blame Canada!

Brother sold his crf450, now Canadian customs has it.

My brother sold his 2005 crf450 today to a man from Canada. He had spoken with him previously about what paperwork he might need. I confirmed for him that if he was detained outbound from the US, he would only need a bill of sale and a copy of the registration. (no title for off road vehicles in Mai...

I have a 71 (I think) sitting in the shed right now. It was my fathers and I rode the piss out of it at camp when I was is my early teens. I ended up breaking all but 5 or 6 spokes out of the rear wheel jumping it. I found another wheel on ebay a year ago and have never put it back together. My oil ...

Fist, just a note to others - DO NOT WORK ON YOU BIKE WHILE SUFFERING FROM NICOTINE WITHDRAWL. 1993 CR500 I stripped my frame and sandblasted and painted yesterday it yesterday getting it ready for the new engine. I finally said screw it and ordered both right and left cases for the 94-01. When all is said and done I should have a "new" engine other than the transmission, which looked pretty mint when I took it apart. Now I have to send Glen my jug for some work and a new piston.

Engine cases - 93 vs 94-01

Ok,I finally decided my right side engine case half is beyond repair. I dont know if I can even get the 93 case (111AO-ML3-680) new or not, plus the 94-01 case (11100-MAC-305) is cheaper than the 93. Is the only difference in the two the fact that the 93 is black? I don't give a rats ass what color ...

I kind of figured the right cases would be the way to go. I'm leaning towards new, especially if they come with bearings installed, anyone confirm that they come with bearings? I'm probably going to "try" to save the cases I have when I get a some time. I REALLY don't want to throw another...

Ok I'm not really feeling warm an fuzzy about my options so far. I should be able to use the studs from my 93 cases for the cylinder. I have all the covers from my 93 so the clutch cover isn't an issue. I assume I can still get the spacer for the jug also. I hadn't heard about the difference in the ...

Crankcase differences.

Is there any difference in the crankcase from 85-01? I currently have a 1993 with a perfect tranny, decent clutch basket etc. But the more I look, it looks like my cases may be beyond repair. My right side case, has a crack going from the coutershaft bearing headed towards the top of the case. It al...

There is no one in my area that can tig that I am aware of. Would there be any significant stress on these areas when the engine is running other than vibrations? It would seem that the crank bearings would be taking all of the force from the crankshaft.

Anyone with experience welding crankcases?

I decided it was time to start the engine rebuild of my basketcase and ran into a little snag. I knew that the rod bearing had gone south when I took the jug off, but I didn't know to what extent. Today I split the cases and found that the rod had acquired enough freeplay to hit the crankcase prior ...
