Mine is straight up and works well.
I plan to try it advanced, but haven't gotten around to it.

I recently put a 98 CR250 ignition on mine.

I rarely have a silencer long enough to blow it out.
I will crash.
Usually it's the next ride after I put on a new rear fender or decals.

I have one complete gen1 conversion, and another one that just needs to be assembled.

They are still good old bikes.
I will probably sell one of my gen 1's and try a gen 3 chassis next.

I just put a 98 250 ignition on.
Installed it straight up, and seems to run good.
Haven't tried advancing it at all yet.

Just took my rebuilt '85 motor out for a rip yesterday in a Gen1 AF. Vibration is down considerably, and horsepower is excessive. Not sure if its the 250 ignition, or if Adam massaged the ports. Either way, I'm very happy with the motor! Thanks Roosty! Now I just need to try the other motor I have s...

Be careful!
Glad to hear you're out ripping shit up,
but you don't want to be laid up for another year.
I don't think they have mastered back transplants yet.

The bushings are only available in case halves. I have some bushings that I had machined, I can get some measurements for you if you would like them

They dont fit the 85 cases.
I just drilled the cases out with a 13/16 bit, and tapped the bushings in.

I had some made up at a machine shop locally.
Got 3 sets, and it ended up costing about $125.
You can't get them from honda unless you buy a case half.

As soon as I bought my KTM i was measuring the cradle for a 500.
The only problem I could see was the shock spring/pipe situation.
Thankfully / unfortunatly, my 4 stroke is still running strong. :)

Looking forward to seeing this bike finished!
