2011 hoon fest

Top ten things I liked about 2011 hoon fest. 1) That it was only a 1 hr drive from my house. 2) Meeting the “Crew”. 3) That everyone was super cool around my family language wise. 4) Meeting Chumly. 5) The ride was fun and everyone helpful. It was not a race, or a skill level contest. 6) That I call...

Gen 3 CR125 Started

I have had a Gen 2 bike for quite some time, all the while lusting after the Gen 3 bikes. Is it the sleek hour glass curvature of the frame, the line going down the spars that reminds me of the line going down the back of sexy stockings, or the cool shape of the weld where the spar meets the cast or...

a ? for those of you running boyesen clutch cover

what do you do when your paper gasket is toast. Where do you get a new one from, or do you use a liquid gasket?

I drove by the site on my way from bullhead to phoenix. Looks nice. large flat area for toy haulers. good access, no rutted out. it is the only place you can turn north between mile marker 9 and 10 on #74. it is more like 9.8 there were about 20 pickups with trailers there on sunday afternoon. Mostl...

cool. I am getting behind on "family" time and it would be good to multi task.

I probably won't end up riding much, but it would be nice to get to know some of the hoons.

I do know he does not know how well the fit the 250 frames, because I asked

now that I reread I see you ar probably talking about a 250 frame.

I really like the "algava" method for those, but a little late to do that.

If I rode MX I might be concerned with your frame. I never get very far off the ground, so I would run it and keep an eye on it.

hoon fest questions

1) Is there a camping area where I could bring my toy hauler?

2) Is this a "family" type event? Or would I be better off leaving the Wife, 11 yr old girl 8 yr old boy 5 yr old boy, and 2 year old girl at home.

I put one on mine, and in my opinion it is the best mod to date. I felt a bit like a wuss  putting one on, I mean I CAN start a 500, but I CAN also stall one way out in the middle of the dunes in an akward position on a hill.

250F suspension on 125

Doing a 125 conversion, I have the fram but no suspension. would the suspension from a 250 f be a good choice. I know the front should fit no problem, but what about the back?

yz250 is .070ish stock

.045 is considered tight for the yz250.

at .050 my guess is the head has been cut.

you may be able to take a little more off. probaby cheaper to get a thinner base gasket

your seal is saturated, clearly evident it in the photo. now if you had oily stuff just in the bottom of the cavity then it would be your clutch arm seal. probly had a bunch on the back of the flywheel also..... dead give away. only 2 ways oil can get in there, clutch or crank seal. the picture is ...

Weep hole leaking oil.

Stator side under the clutch linkage there is a weep hole, mine is weeping premix oil. What is this weep hole for? Why is it leaking? Will post pics later when I have my camera and am near my bike.
