It is up for $600, but i will only pay $500 for it though. I'm not worried about hours as long as it runs. I will go through it top to bottom before putting it in my bike.

It is planned for a AF project. So the bike itself isn't very important. But it is in good shape for the year, at least in the pics. So I can use a newer water pump cover and the right case?

87 CR500 Good motor?

I have a deal on a 87 complete bike. Was wondering if this is a good motor to go with? Thanks For any heads up and help.

I have a 98 cr 250 in a 05 crf 250 chassis. It is a fun bike. Wasnt that hard to do either. Mine took about 3 week to do, and my brother and I did his in 3 days.

Well I hope it goes easy. Ill see tomorrow. How do you post pictures on here, would like to show you guys what ive done to the frame. Honestly it looks easier to put the 500 in these things then the 250.

I have a 97 cr 250, I think im just going to have to do it the old way and bolt up the rear wheel and use a straight edge, then cut the One or both of the swing arm collars to fit.

I am coming up with 81mm and 84mm, using a caliper and a tape. Not sure which one to go with.

It does help, thanks.Trying to get a 250 in a gen.4 frame and was wondering if they were the same, hoping to make it easy for me from all of your guys work. I guess it isn't going to be easy.

Measurement of the back motor mount

Was wondering if anyone knows the measurement between the two bushings for the rear motor mount that the swing arm bolt goes through for the 500?

I have a friend that has a 500, motor only that might consider getting rid of. he says it needs new cases, but i havent seen it yet. I will let you know more details if you are interested.
