he also did not tell you that the one tooth pick up is crap for igntion control,he says that using a higher number trigger wheel is too much work,right,wrong it is the right thing to do for correct results,your cranking resoluition with one tooth is mundane,extra teeth more resoulution,finer tuning ...

funny that i have had completetly different replys from the same guy matt lee,he has never done a 500 before,and going on those specs,your in for a rocky road.the system he uses is a copy of a more reputable ecu,he did not even know that the cr500 was kickstart only!!i wish you all the best!!

one very crucial question you need to ask him,how many revolutions does his system require to register crank sync,and what rpm does the system reset,does he recommend just the one tooth set up or a larger say 12 to 1 or even 36 toothed wheel,this will be the achilies heel,not because of the system b...

if you map all the cylinders with 1-2mm grid paper and send them to me i will give you all the answers to each one blow down comparison time area calculation sec/sq,mm this will give your perfromance differnce on paper.

cool man,thats about where am at too,just tossing up which set up to use,am bending towards the ktm set up at this point cause i got the whole system in clucding loom bl bla for stuff all,as soon asi get some progress ill get in touch,cheers man.

hi bearoso,thank god someone else is thinkin outside the box,nothing wrong with es,i agree.i too have been weighin up an improvisation on the ktm set up,just the cr500 ig pick up is right in the way of wher i want to mount the starter clutch,prob gonna remount the pickup and re machine the flywheel ...

there is some dude down in the south island here in new zealand that runs a cr600,dont know what setup it is but all i know is it kicks arse in all the beach racing and motard,rumour has it that it produces 88hp,but it might all be wank wank talk,i will find out one day and report..
