Heard a story today from a parts distributor rep at my local shop. His buddy has a CR500AFX and had starting problems with the ignition. Because they are local, he visited Electrosport in Oceanside, CA and they played around with the ignition and got it to fire up first kick. Unfortunately the unit ...

I would go with a shock that is at least the same dimensions, and then expect to rebuild it a) if the suspension geometry is any different from the donor bike, b) Honda got it wrong in the first i.e. like the CR480R and c) if you are bigger/faster etc. than Honda expected. I recommend Rich Truinski ...

Tried to get the system working satisfactory before leaving for Jawbone... No Bueno... :? Stocker is back on, and I'm pulling chocks in about 20 minutes.. I'll have to try it again later. ....I don't know whether to feel vindicated, or more mad at trying to get this working for so long. ...I read o...

I use the $395 one. It's difficult to give it a review, because once in place you never know it is there and I have not had the kind of spill where I can say it has been put to the test. I don't see why big guys can't use the standard adult size, you'd have to have a really large neck to have proble...

http://desertvipersmc.com/adelanto/schedule.shtml I finally got www.active.com to work for me and reminded myself I am entered for the 40+ Novice race on Saturday at 11:00 AM and the Open Novice race on Sunday at 11:45 AM. I plan on running the CR500AF in both. I might bring my CA-plated WR400F and...

I am finally going to get to ride this Thursday at Milestone! I think I already know what the outcome will be - it will start and ride just like the older Service Honda I tried and the '99 I borrowed once. I was sold on the stock ignition when it fired up second kick on my driveway weeks ago. There ...

Water Pump Corrosion
Help an old duffer with a bad memory. I thought I had read in MXA of a preparation used in drag racing that you could spray onto magnesium cases to make them imporous and less likely to corrode around the water pump. Any of you guys with older CRs remember this or have advice?

Theres no way someone who aint a pro racecar driver could even come close to hammering that car, 900 hp and under 1300lbs is insanity. Back in 1986 or so they let some journos loose at Silverstone in the Benetton BMW 1.5l turbo F1 car. This was the engine that produced more power than BMW's dyno co...

I have an HRP standard chest protector and see that HRP does these in a XL size for +190lb riders. I have a Leatt Brace and it works with the standard version, but is a bit of a drama to get on and off. HRP now does a chest protector that snaps on after the brace is put on. If I was buying new I wou...

I just finished installing the stock ignition that I got from Jay via Bob. The bike started up 2nd kick. I am going to keep this ignition on the bike until I ride at Milestone next Friday. In the meanwhile I should mention AJ from Service Honda sent me a complete new Electrosport ignition set. Good ...
